Mother Estelle Clark Food Pantry

About

Mission

We are committed to breaking down the challenges of hunger for our community, especially for children and senior citizens, by providing lifesaving food.

About Us

The Mother Estelle Clark (MEC) Food Pantry provides hot meals and grocery bags to the Trenton community. Here, all are welcome to our location on 60 Randall Ave where we distribute food every Thursday from 5pm – 6pm on a first come, first serve basis.

The Mother Estelle Clark Food Pantry was established in September 2018 as a ministry initiative of the Bible Way Cathedral of Deliverance (BWCOD) under the leadership of Apostle A. Philip Parrott. This initiative began as a service to our community through providing hot meals as a Trenton Area Soup Kitchen meal site, and we eventually grew through our partnership with the Mercer Street Friends Food Bank to also supply grocery

bags which supplement additional nutrient needs of the families and individuals we serve.

The MEC Food Pantry, named in honor of  the founding mother of the BWCOD, Mother Estelle Clark, strives to keep her memory alive by continuing her pattern of generosity. She was known to always have a pot on her stove and anyone was welcome to sit at her table where she not only nourished her family, but also helped grow the church ministry. To continue her legacy, we are committed to the service of providing lifesaving food.
