What We Do
Prepared Meals
MEC Food Pantry is a participating community meal site for the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK). We serve prepared meals every Thursday* from 5-6pm on a first come, first serve basis. All are welcome to our location at 60 Randall Ave, Trenton, NJ.
We seek to provide individuals with a nutritious meal, including items from each essential food group: fruits and vegetables, protein, grain and dairy.
*We will post 2 weeks notice in the event of change in schedule
Grocery Bags
In addition to prepared meals provided on Thursdays, we also provide grocery bags to supplement weekly groceries for families.
These grocery bags are stocked with pantry items such as rice, spaghetti, beans, milk, canned fruit, and canned vegetables. We also provide eggs and frozen meat such as ground beef, chicken, and fish as they are available.
Thursday Manna
In partnership with Mercer Street Friends Food Bank, our Thursday Manna program provides goods from locals stores such as COSTCO and Wegmans.
On our food distribution days, the individuals we serve can choose from baked goods like bread, bagels, cakes, pies; prepared entrees & salads; dairy products; produce and household items as they are available.
